Bonx can create invoice drafts automatically, have an AI agent review them and manage them through APIs. This page covers those automations. To configure exports to accounting software, sales accounts, VAT codes and analytic dimensions, see how accounting connections work.

Create drafts automatically

Mark a sales-order process step as Generates a draft invoice. When an order reaches it, Bonx creates a standard invoice from the order data. The action is idempotent: returning to the same step finds the associated draft instead of creating the same invoice again. In the shipment process, mark a step as Invoice the shipment. When a shipment reaches this step, Bonx creates one draft per delivered sales order with the shipped quantities. Lines with no sales order are ignored. An order already invoiced for this shipment or already settled is skipped. This checkbox is not available on Done and Cancelled steps.

Review drafts with an AI agent

Attach an AI agent to the Draft state in invoicing settings and provide custom instructions. It can standardize line descriptions, complete information from Bonx data, apply an internal rule or prepare corrections before validation. Changes may require approval or be accepted automatically. The agent works on editable draft data.

Use the Assistant and APIs

The Bonx Assistant can find, read and create invoices and update draft fields and lines. REST and GraphQL APIs provide list, read, create and update operations with the same access and validation rules.

Monitor activity

Search, filter and sort invoices by customer, state, type, date, due date, amount, site or transmission status. Invoicing indicators display draft totals, validated amounts to collect, overdue amounts and monthly invoiced revenue. For foreign-currency invoices, Bonx uses the rate frozen at validation to feed indicators in the workspace’s default currency.
