The Pennylane integration bridges production and accounting: commercial master data flows both ways, and anything with accounting value goes from Bonx to Pennylane.

Authentication: OAuth

You authorise Bonx from Pennylane, without handing over a password. The token renews itself and stays revocable from Pennylane. See authentication methods.

Business behaviour

  • Exported documents are not updated afterwards. Once created in Pennylane, a document is no longer rewritten by Bonx: an update requires line identifiers that Bonx does not track, and a partial rewrite would be riskier than none. Correct it in Pennylane, or issue a new document.
  • Invoices leave as drafts. A Bonx invoice (standard, deposit or balance, draft or validated) is created as a customer invoice draft in Pennylane, where it is finalised. Credit notes, debit notes and proformas are not exported. Like the other documents, an exported invoice is not updated: later edits in Bonx stay in Bonx.
  • One source of customer invoices. Sales orders, shipments and invoices all feed the same Pennylane customer invoice draft. Enable the Bonx → Pennylane export for only one of the three, or the same revenue is booked several times.
  • Exported articles are the ones in use. Only articles present on an order or shipment line go to Pennylane, so your whole catalogue is not dumped there.
  • VAT is matched against your Bonx rates, falling back to the rate’s numeric value when no named match exists.
  • The process step of imported orders is never overwritten by a later import.
